An account with the username "uriminzokkiri," which in Korean means "on our own as a nation," managed to reap controversy. Uriminzokkiri suspected of being a website maintained by the North Korean government. They announced that they have a Twitter account and created a YouTube channel in July.

Uriminzok Twitter account with the username ("Our Nation" in Korean language), obtained more than 8500 followers in one week despite only having 30 tweets are posted. Their tweets contain praise to Kim Jong Il, and lambasting the United States and South Korea.

The South Korean government put up the warning "Illegal content" when trying to access the Twitter account uriminzok in South Korea. Uriminzokkiri Facebook account can get the same treatment.

South Korea's National Intelligence Agency is investigating whether it was run by the North Korean government.

Facebook account, who describes herself as a boy, says interested in men and was searching for the network. Profile image used is from the Three Charters of National Reunification Memorial Tower, a monument 100 feet (30 meters) in Pyongyang.

There are more than 50 postings on the Uriminzokkiri's wall, including links to a post that criticize South Korea and the United States as a "warmonger."

Many videos have been uploaded to YouTube channel of North Korea, including clips that condemn and ridicule the United States and South Korea that North Korea blamed the sinking of the battleship South Korea in March.

North Korea has opened itself to the social media forum but if its citizens have been given a similar access?

North Korea, suspend Internet access for all citizens except for the elites. Among the 24 million North Koreans are believed to have interest in information technology.
